Michael S. Hassan

Michael S. Hassan, of counsel, has established the Licensing and Entertainment division of our Corporate Department. The Licensing and Entertainment division is responsible for representing major domestic and international brands, as well as individual licensees.

Mr. Hassan was formerly the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for several companies, including SASSON, which he continues to represent regarding general corporate matters and intellectual property issues, licensing, distribution, copyrights, software development and protection. He also has extensive experience in transactions involving sports and entertainment figures and has negotiated sponsorship, venue, management and operating agreements in behalf of firm clients.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Hassan is a founding member of Deerpath Films, a film production company responsible for the movie Cabin Fever and the soon to be released Children of Father August. His off Broadway play Real Life was revived in a community theater in Iowa during the Summer of 2007.
