Morris Missry is a partner, on the Management Committee of Wachtel & Maysr, LLP and Chairman of our Real Estate Department. Mr. Missry represents a wide variety of real estate developers, investors and syndicators as well as corporate clients, not-for-profit entities and individual clients in the acquisition, financing, construction, development and leasing of commercial, residential and mixed-use projects. These projects include shopping centers, shopping malls, hotels, office buildings, residential towers, and industrial facilities. Mr. Missry is a dynamic negotiator and facilitator of complex real estate and joint venture transactions. Known as a deal maker, Mr. Missry is often retained for his expertise in structuring a variety of transactions throughout the United States.

Representative Transactions:

  • Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Florida Destination Malls. Acquisitions and financing of two food, shopping and entertainment destination shopping centers.
  • Enclosed Mall - Vega Alta, Puerto Rico Enclosed Mall. Acquisition and financing of 400,000 square foot premier shopping mall.
  • Regional Mall - Cincinnati, Ohio Regional Mall. Acquisition and financing (Senior and Mezzanine Debt) of 1,350,000 square foot regional mall.
  • Enclosed Mall - Brooklyn, New York. Acquisition, financing and redevelopment of downtown Brooklyn urban mall.
  • Enclosed Mall - Cheltenham, Pennsylvania. Acquisition and financing of 640,000 square foot regional mall.
  • Regional Mall - Merritt City Island, Florida. Acquisition and financing of 850,000 square foot regional mall.
  • Office Buildings. Representation of owners and investors in the acquisition, financing and redevelopment of numerous office towers in New York City and throughout the United States and Canada.
  • Fee above a Plane Structures. Structuring of the disposition of real property in a fee above a plane structure which ultimately leads to a condominium structure when property is rebuilt.
  • Tenancy In Common Structures. Structuring of property ownership in complex tenancy in common structures.
  • Syndications. Structuring various real estate syndications involving high net worth individuals involving real property throughout the United States.
