Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP)
The most common discretionary land use actions that require the Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP) include changes to the City map, changes to the zoning maps and zoning text, special permits as set forth in the Zoning Resolution as well as the acquisition of property from the City. Wachtel Masyr & Missry works diligently to ensure that applications are taken through the ULURP process from the conceptual planning stages to the granting of ULURP approvals.
As part of ULURP, Wachtel Masyr & Missry works with the New York City Department of City Planning in order to certify our client's applications into the ULURP process. From there, we take the application from the Community Board through to the City Council. Our experienced lawyers and urban planners are there every step of the way to answer questions from community members, City agencies, Borough presidents and Councilmembers.
Details matter in this complex process and Wachtel Masyr & Missry's Land Use Group is attentive and thorough in its preparation, presentation and administration of each application we make on behalf of our clients.
